Hoshi Shin'ichi

(1926-1997)

Born in Tokyo on September 6th 1926. Graduated in agricultural chemistry from Tokyo University. After quitting graduate school of Tokyo University, worked for Hoshi Pharmacy Co. His first published story was a short-short 'Sextra' in 1957, and he won Japan Mystery Writers Award by 'Mousou Ginko(Delusion Bank)' in 1968. He is apparently the most copious short-short writer in Japan, who has created more than 1000 titles. Died on December 30th 1997, 18:23 at the age of 71.
Some works of his have been translated in various languages, including English. One of his main works is "Bokko-chan."
